Craig Douglas Gephart

Landscape, Nature, and Documentary Photography

Hello, and welcome to my website.   I am a Higher-Ed IT professional, amateur photographer, drone photography dabbler, musician, lover of road trips, husband of an amazing woman, and father of two of the greatest adult sons a man could ever ask for.

Since 2005, I have practiced a wide variety of photographic genres including macro photography, landscape & nature photography, sports photography, and documentary photography.  I especially enjoy working in B&W but I will not pass up an opportunity to capture life in color, especially during the golden hours of the morning and evening.

Photography is also therapy for me.  Having been diagnosed with depression in my 40s, photography has provided me opportunities to stabilize as I strive to capture and present that which I find positive and inspirational in the world around me.  Photography serves to remind me that God made me a unique, creative being who has something positive to offer others as I share life through my camera's lens.  It is my belief that the works I create and share can and do have a positive impact on others.

I do consider myself an evolving photographer.  While I very much enjoy photographing landscapes and wildlife, working in both color and black & white, I am also looking for ways to become increasingly active in the areas of social documentary photography as I believe there are many important stories in those areas that deserve to be told.

I post regularly on my  Facebook page and Instagram feed and am listed on LinkedIn.  Please feel free to connect with me on any of those platforms or use the form on my Contact page.  And, if you would like to stay connected I'm happy to tell you my site is also smartphone ready!
